He is a registered professional engineer in Florida and Alabama with a degree in Materials Engineering from Auburn University's Mechanical Engineering Department. His engineering studies emphasized failure analysis and accident reconstruction. His work background in failure analysis includes construction and building failure investigations, materials and metallurgical failures and the reconstruction of accidents.
